I had a phone interview with a male recruiter. I found the questions very narrow minded, demeaning, inflammatory, callous and absurd. I was asked everything I did after I got my bachelors degree ages ago and if I went to jail. As a result of this interview, Janssen is on my blacklist and as a president of epidemiology alumni association for top epidemiology schools, I would highly discourage alumni from top epidemiology schools in the UK from applying for a role there. Having had a more pleasant interaction with a recruiter from their parent company, Johnson & Johnson before, Janssen-Cilag needs to stop their callous audacity to ask such narrow minded questions unless they want to drive the best talents away from this country. The recruiter kept fudging his answers to my questions and selling me the job rather than telling me the facts outright. He did not apologise for accusing me of going to jail and "covering up my resume" after he argued with me that I must be covering up something if I did not list every single student job I had many years ago. Also it is clear from his sales pitch that the job is about deceiving NICE and dropping research studies that show their drugs don't work in order to maximise profit. This is not a place that has integrity. It is apparent there is a high level of distrust and deceit from the questions and answers the recruiter gave me.
