First, some lazy late 90s gatekeeping in the form of Hackerrank.
Then, an HR call.
Then, some more irrelevant algorithm-heavy coding tasks. And here I thought we weren't gonna waste eachother's time.

Start with immediate automatic hackerrank challenge, sent after submitting the application. Once you correctly solve it, got a call with HR. A lengthy call to talk about your experience, their type of work and align expectations. These two parts were very quick, almost instant. After that the the technical team decides if they want to move to next phase with you based on your CV and HR notes, which unfortunately I didn't pass. But the HR was very pleasant, and they were the only ones to give me very valuable feedback on why they passed which helped me to significantly improve my CV.

Asked me to explain a programming concept to the HR person, to see if I can communicate clearly with non technical people when working with clients.

First round was a problem on Hacker Rank, but I wouldn't say it was a typical Hacker Rank algorithmic question, but rather a simpler problem with some array shuffling and basic programming concepts. This was followed by a video interview in English with the HR. About a week later I then had another technical video interview where I had to solve two algorithmic problems (one easy-ish, one medium). This video interview was done through Google Docs, so no IDE/autocomplete or syntax checking. I found the whole process to be rather enjoyable.

Question 1
Questions about previous job experience, algorithmic problems (the usual algorithmic stuff involving arrays, graphs, recursion etc.)
