      J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez JWP (JW Player) (New York, NY) en mars 2017

      Where do I begin? Honestly, the first thing this company needs to do is hire proper HR. Their so called "schedule co-ordinator" is a joke. No co-ordination what so ever. They barely respond to your emails and lack the basic courtesy to answer questions regarding the interview process. I applied on March 6th 2017 for the position of ETL Engineer (0 years experience required) and received their first response 10 days later. I was then given a HackerRank challenge which was probably the only positive thing about the process. In the next round (7 days later), DURING THE INTERVIEW, I was told that the position that I am interviewing for has been "changed" and they would be interviewing me for Junior Data Engineer (which supposedly required the same amount of experience). However, during the interview process, there was a huge discrepancy between the job requirements and what they are looking for. Advice: Job hunting is not a joke. Please have the courtesy to post the relevant job requirement. You cannot expect to interview an entry level candidate for a mid-level position because it is "convenient" for you. It is the candidate who has more to lose than the company.

      We do understand the seriousness with which candidates undergo the daunting task of searching for new job opportunities and we vet all candidates with that in mind. During our interview process, rather than rejecting a stellar candidate outright, we may determine that a candidate’s skills are a better fit for another role on our team and we make all efforts to notify the candidate of this fact so that they can agree to decline or continue the process. It is unfortunate that your experience interviewing with JW Player was negative as we strive to be as communicative as possible with our candidates, and though your skills and experience weren’t a fit for our team, we do wish you well in your job search.
