I went through a total of three interview rounds following an initial screening call with a recruiter. The recruiter based in London was polite, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. However, the interview scheduling system, particularly with teams abroad, was very disorganized. One of my online interviews was completely missed by the interviewer, and I had to follow up myself to get it rescheduled.
The interviews themselves felt quite surface-level. Rather than diving into my background or discussing the specifics of the role, the questions felt generic, like they had been pulled from a standard internet list. It didn’t seem like there was much effort to tailor the discussion to the actual responsibilities or challenges of the position.
In the end, I wasn't offered the role, and I understand that there may have been candidates with stronger experience in financial software.
