      Entretien

Relatively straightforward, my only issue would be that it took them forever to contact me (and many others I know) once we’d passed the online tests. Online tests were pretty simple, I didn’t find them too hard and I don’t have a maths background at all. Practice is key here, the same questions with different data comes up constantly! The verbal reasoning is also pretty much common sense, not difficult at all. I’d say the hardest part is keeping within the time limit but then again practice will help with this. I was then informed that I’d passed the online tests pretty promptly, and that my scores would be added to my UCAS points and I could potentially be shortlisted. Given that my A-Level scores were very poor (140 points) I didn’t hold much hope at this stage. I was informed that I had been invited to an assessment centre exactly three months later, which was a little irritating but I was happy and surprised to have been selected. The day is held in a hotel in Coventry, and I’d recommend staying there overnight as they give some expenses and if you get a morning session it starts quite early. The actual assessment centre isn’t too difficult - I found the individual interview went well and my interviewer was so lovely and made me feel at ease. I’d recommend sharing all and any ideas you have here - I’m passionate about accessibility and diversity in the workplace so I rambled a little on about these! Also it’s always good to know facts about the company that aren’t related to your position eg engineering developments and such because it shows you’ve researched further and really want to work there. The intray was definitely the hardest part. Hard to explain on here but very, very tricky. There isn’t any preparation here either except make sure you’re handy at solving maths problems. The last stage is the group interview which is really relaxing! I’d just say don’t be too aggressive when talking about your point of view, and listen to others because it’s important to be a good listener in the workplace anyway. I haven’t heard back yet from them, but they seem like a brilliant company to work for.
