When I went in, the place was busy, stylist looked pretty busy, I met the manager and she took me upstairs to fill out an application online. When I was done, I met her back downstairs in the salon. We went into her office and she asked me to tell her a bit about myself, some background as a stylist, what I liked the most about the career field, what I felt my skills were strong in and weak in, where I would like to improve, if offered classes what I would like to learn more about. I brought a small portfolio with me of previous hair styles I had done, so I showed her that. Then she told me about the company and how their pay works and about the benefits and about classes being offered that are paid. After everything she let me know about the second interview that will be set up to sit with her boss, whom I assume is a regional manager. That was it so far. She said she will call early this coming week so either Monday or Tuesday, it's currently Friday. I look forward to it, sounds like a great place to return to the field in.
