Initial application & questionnaire, then a video application answering a few questions, then an in person interview in their office. The in person interview was... interesting. When I first entered the office there were 2 current interns on laptops in the lobby— one was managing the reception desk. That’s a red flag to me, I want to learn about the industry at my internships, not do office manager duties. The interview was done by two girls, pretty typical questions about my background in PR. I was excited about it until near the interview, one of them said “We’re sort of like a sorority. We can teach you the business of PR and you can succeed but if you don’t fit in with us it’s not really a good fit.” I think I made a face because I was so surprised to hear something like that... Such an unprofessional and awkward thing to say. Basically saying hiring someone’s skill/experience doesn’t matter but if they fit in with the aesthetic of the office they’re a good match? No thanks
There was excellent communication and I had a great process overall. A couple rounds, with a writing test, spoke to HR, and an Account Executive on the team. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in PR and Social Media.

The interview process was positive and I felt extremely comfortable. They wanted to know about your professional background, future goals, and passions. They were also interested/helpful in showing how this internship could benefit one in the future.
