Entretien
Application processed online and then was called by John Crew recruiter who asked several questions concerning my sales experience and phone etiquette. She told me it was possible she would be getting back with me. She called me back within a week and set up a formal interview including a writing and typing test. I met with the same recruiter that I had talked to on phone when I arrived for interview. She went on to take me to the area to conduct the typing and writing test. There were two of us taking tests at this time. The other lady was interviewing for Client Specialist. After successfully completing the tests performed I was picked up by the interviewing manager and taken to a mock store setting for the face to face interview. The interviewing manager was very nice and easy to talk to. She went on to ask questions about my previous employment, sale experience, knowledge of J Crew and their products. I was honest about not knowing very much about the company but also explained my experience and what I could bring to the company as an email chat associate. She had me pick any piece of clothing off the racks and sell it to her. That was easy I had eyed a cute black pleated leather mini skirt that would look great on her! She even stated she had been eying the skirt hersrlf. I went on with a general sales pitch. At end of interview she asked if I had any questions and I stated just 1, when will you be informing people about position and she stated right now, I'm offering you the position if you are willing to accept. I then went to human resources for lots of paperwork and my orientation and training start dates as well as signing for a background check to be ran on me prior to orientation.

Entretien
First, took a typing test, and had to write a response to a sample email. I also watched a video on what J.Crew is about. Afterwards, was asked questions about styling and computer skills.
