They hire "friends of friends", and they run late for the interview so much that they have the next interviewee sitting next to you while your being interviewed. They talk and don't ask questions, don't bring your resume, they won't need it, they will glance, hand it back, and then ask you what you want, f/t, p/t. They make you drive out of your way weeks later to repeat themselves a million times about the history of the company. They act like it's a mafia. They talk behind your back and have a couple of employee's who tell you the bad gossip about you, from people you don't even know. They make everything seem more difficult than it is, and hound every customer you meet. They make you feel welcome, and offer you food and shoes, only the food is bad, and you never get the shoes. They tell you, you will get the hours you want, the schedule you want, then change it last minute and it's everything you didn't want. They don't compensate better than the next guy either, they just talk the talk, but can't walk at all.
