After a long online application process, they scheduled an interview. Durring the interview, I was told that they had "Already filled the position I applied for, but had another one I might be interested in." They offered me a "First Responder" (help desk) position, offering 1/2 the sallary. 2 weeks later, the same position is STILL posted. They're just using a bait & switch tactic. HUGE waste of my time, and extremely unprofessional.

Thank you so much for your feedback. It is true. Our interview process is quite long. We do this for a number of reasons. Primarily we do it so that we have as much information to go off of as possible in the beginning of the hiring process. This ultimately saves time later in the process as we near the hiring stage. Along with this, we also review the resumes we receive for other positions in our organization as well. This is to ensure that the applicant has the absolute best chance to succeed if they are hired here. We frequently see applications for positions where the applicant may not have the experience needed to succeed, but rather than just ignore those, we actively research to see if the candidate would be a fit somewhere else in the organization. Finally, IronEdge is dedicated to building a solid pipeline of candidates and there are times that a posting is not been removed in a timely fashion. To address this, we have been able to assign several members of our team to review our postings on a much more frequent basis. I can certainly understand your viewpoint, but I can assure you that IronEdge absolutely does NOT "bait and switch". If you read our employee reviews, you will see that a core value of our culture is to act with Integrity. We take pride in our ability to do exactly that. Thank you again for your feedback. We wish you well in your job search and apologize for not making your experience a positive one. Just know that your feedback is extremely valuable to us and we thank you for submitting your resume to us.
