The interview process included a phone screening with the recruiter, completion of a case study, and an in-person interview with the hiring manager.
The interview process was simple and straightforward. I enjoyed the case study (4 short answer/essay questions) and believed it was necessary to prove competence for the position.
My only gripe is that the recruiting staff was a little unprofessional. They were slow to follow-up on calls and email. In the end, they proved unresponsive. I received one of those "We'll let you know if you get the job by next week" lines, and then never heard from them again.
Overall, I would not recommend the company. From first-hand observation I can understand why IB received poor Glassdoor reviews. When asked to provide them a salary range, they immediately targeted the lowest number you uttered out of your mouth. "So, you're ok with $XXk?" Also, during my in-person I noticed a large number of young folks--most early to late 20s. Nothing wrong with that, however, I attribute high turnover to the younger age group. Again, this falls in line with the negative reviews touching low salaries and high turnover.
