Took about 2 months to hear back from initial application. First interview scheduled within the week contacted - took place over the phone as I live out of state, second interview scheduled at the conclusion of the first. Second interview seemed like it would normally have been broken up into 2 rounds (met with increasing levels of seniority) but wasn't as I had traveled in. Heard back following the second round within one week. Interviewers were concerned with fit (asked why IRI & wanted to understand my philosophy about democracy promotion).

The process started with a straightforward 5-minute phone screening to assess basic qualifications. Following this initial step, I proceeded to a more in-depth interview with the program team, which provided a comprehensive overview of the role and its responsibilities. The final stage involved a meeting with the division's leadership, where I had the opportunity to discuss strategic alignment and explore how my experience and vision could contribute to the team's goals.

There was an initial phone screening with a member of the recruitment team. After passing this screening, you move on to a panel interview with relevant Program Managers. The finalists have another panel interview with leadership. But, I only went through the first panel interview.

The interview process is long--maybe 4 to 5 interviews for an entry-level job. The organization values country and regional knowledge, but I was later informed that management also emphasizes whether a person will fit in with the team, and they don't consider the language, cultural understanding, and other elements that ensure quality programming.
