Phone screening, with a San Francisco based Sales Recruiter. Interview took place at 7pm GMT. The interview was scheduled to last 30 minutes; it ended up lasting 65 minutes. I didn't mind going over time, as I felt that it was probably a good sign.
2 days later, I received a short email saying that they would not be proceeding further with my application. I was quite surprised that I would not be proceeding beyond the phone screening, especially when I felt it went quite well, and considerably over the allotted time.
I asked for feedback while stating that it was solely feedback for my personal development, as I respected their decision not to move me forward through the process. The extent of the feedback was that other "candidates were a better fit" (literally no more feedback than this) and to add further insult concluded "I did enjoy our chat though."
Maybe she was just trying to fill her day.
