Overall the interview process was straightforward and consistent with I4DI's recruitment approach as posted on their website. I had two rounds of interviews with the hiring manager and a more junior colleague (different junior staff for the first and second interviews). I passed both and was invited to complete a skills assessment. Following this step, I was notified that I had not been selected for further consideration. At this point, I had invested over 12 hours into the interview process (1 hour for each interview, at least 10 for the take-home assignment); unfortunately, despite multiple requests for feedback on my application materials, my emails went unanswered. I would have appreciated the I4DI team closing the loop on the interview process, and ideally, providing me high-level feedback on what I could have improved or done differently. While the interview process was generally a positive one, I would probably think twice about applying for other jobs with the organization in the future, given the poor communication toward the end, which made the experience feel far more transactional than it otherwise would have been.
