While interviewing by video chat is a challenge, several of the management level interviewers seemed disinterested or disengaged. When receiving feedback on why I wasn’t offered the position, I could tell feedback was from manager who didn’t listen to my answers and who emailed while I was talking. It’s frustrating to hear you “lack experience” in an area that you absolutely don’t - but because a manager chose to multi-task while interviewing you, you’ve wasted time. The final discourteous gesture came from the Director who refused to be on camera for an hour long interview. If a candidate takes the time to dress nicely, prepare heavily and spend three days interviewing with your company, it would be nice to receive the bare minimum of courtesy.
