Beware of the shady recruiting practices! The hiring team blatantly tried to get confidential company information from me. A recruiter reached out and asked to do 2 phone chats. Both times the recruiter said he wanted to talk about my experiences but instead asked me for sensitive employer information like corporate strategies / initiatives and very specific project details. When I asked why these questions were relevant, the recruiter would just dismiss me and move on to the next topic. Seems like he was passing the info to the hiring manager. I purposely kept my answers high level and did not give any details that are current. The other red flag is that the recruiter also revealed super specific data for Instacart including growth, revenue, and profit breakdowns to the dollar. Overall poor hiring experience. Using the hiring process as a way to try and get competitive info is very inappropriate.
