Prep before interview is important. Need to arrive having downloaded their app, taken online tutorial, and created a profile. You can show up without having done these things but it will slow everything down for everyone else there.
Once there, you will be expected to display knowledge of how to use the app. There were about 5 of us all using the same products at the same time to get this "skill test" completed. I noticed other people watching what I was doing in order to know what to do themselves. Who knows if they actually learned what they were supposed to learn from the online tutorial before they got there?
Once I was done, one of the 'interviewers' processed all of my info to register me as a Shopper. In the middle of that another interviewee walked right up and started asking her questions about how to download the app. Something I had done in advance in order to be prepared, but yeah guy, go right ahead and interrupt my registration process.
This entire procedure took place in a Hotel LOBBY!!! No wonder he felt like it was okay to do that.
I realized afterwards there are questions I wanted to ask but that interruption and the general chaos of the interview/registration process did not lend itself to that kind of dialogue. So now I am looking for a FAQ page or some way to contact the company to ask my questions and there does not seem to be any kind of Community Forum for Shoppers to answer each others questions and no way for me to contact the company via phone. The only phone # I can find is for Customers who hire Instacart to do their shopping. NO support # for Shoppers.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
They send an email showing your score for the online tutorial. Nowhere does it tell you to bring that email with you to the interview. I am someone who preps for an interview very thoroughly so I even looked for that. It would seem their system would have access to that info before I get to the interview. But no, that was the first question they asked, "Do you have the email showing your score?"

No interview questions had been asked. A background check form processed then I was able to start.

There was no interview process you just apply online or through the shopper app. They run a background check and as soon as that went through they sent me a card and I was able to start shopping the only thing is sometimes they have a wait list I got lucky when I applied and there was no waitlist but some people have to wait months if there’s too many shoppers in their area.
