Was contacted by phone, minuets after applying for position found on job boards. The recruiter seemed very excited to talk about my experience with a major telecom/IT company. They required "Managerial References" before a scheduled interview. I submitted and was scheduled for interview the next day. Was sent the wrong code in email to complete their intel application. When i got to the interview, i was greeted in the office by a very young attractive girl in a very short skirt, who had no idea who anyone was, or what to do. So i stood there until she looked for the person i had an appointment with. I was put in a room and waited about a half hour past the scheduled time, until my contact person walked in. When he came in, he shook my hand and said - sorry - the position you are here for was filled last week. My first contact was 2 days prior to interview, why did they not tell me the job was filled at that time. So, my interviewer said, we wanted to have you in to see if we could find something else for you and didnt want to cancel. (fair enough, but again, the job i was interviewing was gone before they initially contacted me). So i went home hopeful of hearing from them again. I sent a Thank You email, and waited... about 2 months later, I had lunch with my old manager who asked me... "who was that group...Insight Global" you sent in? I was shocked and then found out, they used my reference list to contact managers who agreed to talk about me in an interview, but when they got in, they didnt discuss me at all, they picked all the managers for information on being a recruiter for their team. 2 managers at my former position I talked to said the same thing, and included how unethical and unprofessional they were. Two very young guys, and a young girl in a night club looking skirt. The two guys that were there kept yelling across the room during one meeting to tell the girl to stop flirting with everyone. My overall impression was they used me to get into my former company to promote themselves.
