There were 4 interviews( 1 unnecessary) that I went thru.
1st was the HR interview. I was asked with basic HR questions. It was pretty clear for me that I really specified what I was currently doing so she can refer me to the opening that I would fit.
2nd interview was with the hiring manager. This interview was weird because I was clear with the HR employee that I am a manual tester and yet I was being asked for automation related experience. This should have been filtered by the HR but no.
After this second interview, I think my CV got forwarded to another hiring manager for a manual tester post. I was asked for another round (3rd interview). This time it was a tech panel interview. I was pretty happy with how it went. They were really asking questions that are relevant to my experience and field.
I was then scheduled for another interview with the director and test architects.. I think I did ok with the interview. Although they were very intimidating, most of the questions were related to my experience as a tester. At first I thought that the last interview would be just for formality but I was wrong. After a month of doing interviews with them, I never received feedback from the HR after the final interview. I emailed after 2 weeks and got a reject email immediately.
I just hope the HR could do her job well. I mean, the job posting didnt tell much about what they're looking for. Also she endorsed me to a hiring manager that was looking for a different candidate.
