Disappointing experience with an unprofessional HR. I received a verbal offer for a Senior Manager role, but about a month later was informed that the role had been downgraded, along with a pay cut.
The discussions with HR often felt pushy and condescending, which left a negative impression.
While I understand that hiring needs can change, changing the role level and compensation after a verbal offer felt unprofessional and undermined confidence in the process.

Free labour scam. They give you a very tough, business-specific case study for you to solve. After that, they ghost you. No background check was conducted. 5 months later, they are still “hiring” for the same open role. Seems like they are just crowdsourcing ideas.

I applied for a Manager/Sr Manager position that will be working under DISG-IMDA on 5 Jan 2025. A few days later, I received an email stating that they would like to proceed with my application and that in order to proceed to the next round, I would need to come up with a 10-min presentation and pitch a startup of my choice that should be under DISG's portfolio. I can't believe I fell for this free labor scam. I worked on the presentation for 4 days straight and as soon as I submitted it, about 20 minutes later I got an email saying they liked my presentation and want to proceed to the next interview round to ask me question about the presentation and go through my resume. It's been almost a month since then, and I haven't heard back since that 2nd email. Seems like they just wanted candidates to do free labor for them and make them seem like they have a chance. What a scam. Never applying to IMDA/DISG again.
