I went thru 2 interview sessions. First one with the director himself who was a really fun and easy going person. Second interview was held after a week with the successor who’s job will be delegated to the new hire. It was also good. All the comments were good and seemed nice but afterwards I heard they already hired another candidate (specifically internal one from a different department) for that role due to some uninformed reason. I can see lots of politics going on there to get a permanent role for yourself if you don’t have a connection then it is difficult already.
