Review:
I recently interviewed for a role and had a positive experience throughout the process itself. The third interview included an in-person presentation component, and my work was described as very thorough, and the conversations felt aligned and encouraging.
However, the follow-up experience did not reflect that same level of professionalism. After being told I would hear back the following week, I instead received a generic automated rejection email shortly after, with no direct communication or context following an in-person interview and presentation. I reached out to clarify but did not receive a response.
Given the level of effort required for the interview process, I would have appreciated a more thoughtful and personalized follow-up. While the team interactions themselves were strong, the lack of communication at the end left a disappointing final impression.
Advice to Management:
Ensure candidates who invest significant time in presentations and in-person interviews receive clear and direct communication on outcomes. Even a brief personalized follow-up would go a long way in maintaining a positive candidate experience.
