Hiring manager is using outdated policies with outdated expectations.
Make you jump through hoops and answer ridiculous questions in order to get basic information like salary or remote working ability.
It is unreasonable to expect applicants to jump through all these hoops without knowing what the salary is. Red flag that they do not respect applicants, and therefore likely do not respect their employees either.
Post the salary on the job listing and stop wasting peoples time.
