J'ai postulé en personne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Immanuel Christian School (Springfield, VA)
Entretien
I had to go through three interviews before I finally got the job offer. The first interview was pretty standard - I met with the principal and another teacher. Honestly, I didn't think I aced it with my answers, but I sent a thank-you email anyway afterwards. To my surprise, they emailed back to invite me for a teaching interview, and this time, I felt more confident to showcase my teaching skills and what I could bring to the table. I taught a class while the principal and another teacher observed, and it went well. The principal provided positive feedback on the teaching interview that very same day. It was at this point that I began to feel confident about my chances. Then, they requested a third interview, this time with the Head of the school and a board member. It hit me that this school takes its hiring seriously. They invest a lot of time and effort because they truly believe that teachers are their most valuable asset, like "gold in the bank," so it's all worth it in the end.

Question 1
The very first question they asked me was to share my Christian testimony.

Positive experience, but the process was a bit nerve-wracking. I had three interviews: first a screening interview, then a teaching demonstration where I taught a lesson, and finally a meeting with the head of school and a board member.
