1. Contacted by recruiter. Job description was detailed with role and responsibilities clearly defined.
2. Updated my resume to highlight required skills. Recruiter submitted application and sent me
a login ID and password on ImClone website
3. Completed profile on the ImClone website.
4. Phone interview with hiring manager. Interview went well. Got the impression that ImClone was
still working on integration issues related to 2008 merge with Eli Lilly and that the responsibilities
of the position was fluid.
5. Face to face interviews with senior leadership. First two interviews went fairly well. Again the nature of
the interview was not specific to the job description, more like an evaluation of where my experience
and skills would best fit in. The final interview focused on in-depth understanding of research, one
of ImClone's core businesses and something which was not my strength and also not a critical
requirement for the PMO role I was being interviewed for.
For senior positions, it is probably necessary to be knowledgeable about all the core business of the company one is being interviewed at regardless of the specific role being filled.
