J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez IKEA (Édimbourg, Écosse) en juil. 2015
Entretien
I sent my application online, was contacted a week later and invited to a group assessment day, which continued around 3 hours. There were about 20 other people, and we had three tasks - 2 group ones (to present a product, and to prioritize tasks), and an individual questionnaire. The next day I got a call and was invited to a second interview. This time it was with two of the managers and the questions were competency based: tell us about a time when you've had a difficult customer, etc. Everyone is really friendly and relaxed. Still haven't got a call back.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Tell us about a time when you have done something differently?
Tell us about a time when you git feedback and how did you learn from it?

I applied online through the IKEA careers website and got an email within a day saying my application had been received.
Two days later, I got a phone call from a member of staff asking me about my availability and why IKEA. It's good to say something interesting about IKEA at this point and why you chose IKEA instead of somewhere else to work. Mention a thing or two about their creative vision or something. I was then invited to a group assessment which took place two days later.
In the group assessment, there were about 12 other applicants and we all had to sit down in a semi circle. The hiring managers then told us to get to know the person next to us and then we had to introduce them to the group. It's good to tell quirky and unique facts about yourself instead of boring ones such as how many siblings you have or your age.
We were then presented with a table with a bunch of IKEA market hall products on them. The hiring manager told us we had all go and pick an item. We all rushed to pick an item. We then had to present our item to the group, why we chose it and think of a crazy use for it. It's good to be really creative here as it shows you are fit for a job at IKEA.
Afterwards, we had to go back into a team with the person next to us had to find out about and between us, we had to pick one of the items to keep and one to put back and then explain why we did so.
Finally, the whole group was split into two groups and we had to come up with a presentation about 5 key customer services. It's good to really showcase your team working skills. I personally think that our presentation went really bad but the process of planning the presentation went good and I think the hiring managers saw that. We really listened to each other and communicated well, asking questions etc just generic team work qualities.
I got a call back the day after asking me to come in later that day for a one on one interview. The employee asked me questions like: Why did you choose IKEA...
