      Entretien pour Proposal Writer

      29 sept. 2015
      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      Washington, DC
      Aucune offre
      Expérience neutre
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Human Solutions Inc. (Washington, DC) en sept. 2015

      Entretien

The interview went okay. The 3 interview leads were late by 20 minutes, the interview started at half past the hour. One of the interviewers was using her cell phone during the interview and appeared to be looking at a text message that she shared with her senior colleague while I was responding to a question from their HR director. While it wasn't apparent that they might have been joking about me, it was jarring to see this behavior during an interview. The focus of the interview was on my experience and discussing how it would correlate to the tasks for different stages of their proposal process.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for taking the time to come in and meet our team, as well as leave a review for us. We know the interview process can be nerve-racking and time consuming, and your feedback can help us keep the hiring process as painless as possible. I'd like to address specific notes in your review, and if you would like to discuss anything further, please get in contact with our HR Department. As you know, some of our interviews do require higher level team members to be present, and at times there can be unforeseen events which may delay the interview. We are sorry this affected your time with us. We do take steps to prevent this from occurring, and will be reviewing our scheduling procedures to ensure we are giving our team enough time to prepare for the interviews, so that we don’t run into such delays going from one meeting to another. Additionally, we know coming on-site for an interview can be inherently stressful. You mentioned that during the interview our team member shared a message on her phone with her colleague. Due to the seniority of the team members and the nature of working with proposals, it may have been regarding an urgent client request or update about a recent proposal. Sometimes urgent matters come up that have to be attended to right away. It is never our intention for our candidates to feel disrespected -- we know that our teams define who we are and what we do. We're able to produce great work because our teams are made up of great people, and that you were invited in for an interview tells me you certainly have great qualities. In this instance we did not follow-up with an offer, but that does not reduce the time or effort that was involved on both sides in the application and interview process. We will take this feedback and use it to improve the interview process. To continue this conversation, or to make additional suggestions, please contact us at resumes@humansolutionsinc.com or via any of the contact points you may have from your visit with us. – Sanja Benak, Director of HR
