Telephone and in-person interviews went extremely well. No offer due to HR's disorganized processes.
The HR team was so disorganized with simple tasks, scheduling delays, and shifting HR contacts back and forth three times for the candidate within three month period, that the candidate lost out on the job as the top candidate. First time experience where HR caused delays and disruption to end the candidate's process. It was one of the worst HR experiences.
If the HR team's performance with the candidate represents the company culture, then it's a good thing the opportunity ended.
Side note: working with a different company's HR team went smoothly with multiple changes and received an offer.
