      Entretien

I applied online on the 2nd of the month. On the 5th the recruiter reached out and scheduled me for a screening interview with the hiring manager on the 9th of the month. The hiring manager was very pleasant, we had a great 30 min conversation in which he confirmed I ll get scheduled for a 2nd interview which took place on the 16th. The second interview involved 5 separate interviews over the course of 2.5 hrs, with 4 different managers and the hiring manager at the end. At the end of the interview the hiring manager told me in other words that they have to finish the remaining interviews and that i ll get an answer by the 28th. He was very pleasant and implied multiple times that the other interviews are a formality and that he believed I was a great fit and that I will get an offer. On the 28th, the recruiter who initially reached out emailed and said that they are still conducting interviews and that someone will reach out the current week, or next week. She reached out at the end of the next week to tell me they went with someone else and suggested I applied for a different team lead position. This was a classic case of keeping the candidate lukewarm while making sure the preferred candidates accept the offers. I cannot say I appreciated being delayed for 2 weeks just to be rejected, but at that point I still had a good opinion about Hopper so I applied for the 2nd position. The recruiter held the screening interview on what was now the 2nd of the next month. She was very pleased with me and scheduled me for a 2nd interview , this time with the team. You would think that after being interviewed by a total of 6 people, Hopper would already know if they wanted to hire me, but I guess not! She scheduled me for an interview on the 7th. (yes, we have now entered the 2nd month) The interview was structured on loops. The first loop was a mock coaching interview, in which the interviewer was a pretend agent and I had to coach them using vague metrics I got in advance. The first loop went really well, the interviewer actually told me she couldn't have done it better. The second loop was a discussion with another team lead I would ve worked very closely with, we also had a very pleasant conversation and she seemed very interested in me. Just when I thought things were going great and I got my hopes up again, the 3rd loop interviewer never showed up. I sat there and waited for 1 hr... I emailed, called, texted and got no replies from the recruiter until 48 hrs later. She replied by very briefly apologizing for the schedule mixup and simply rescheduled me for the 3rd loop on Dec 10. As expected, on the 10th this 3rd manager showed up completely unprepared and unprofessional. She had no idea what to ask me and was absolutely killing time. It was clear that they already decided on a candidate and this loop interview was just a formality. She didn't even bother to give me a real interview experience as compensation for taking 6 hrs of PTO to speak with them. She said that if they find me a good fit, I will be reached out to interview a3rd time, this time with the hiring manager. On the 16th, the recruiter reached out to tell me that she will not make me an offer. Overall I found this experience completely disrespectful and unprofessional. The final interview experience was absolutely humiliating. The salary they were offering was absolutely average(50k) and they were asking for a flexible schedule.. we all know what that means. Also heard the words "work family" and other corporate cringe phrases in those interviews.
