This is to inform you that the interview process in Honeywell has been a very bad experience.
We have been asked to come on a weekday. With the assurance that the entire process will be completed on the same day, we had applied one day leave.
We have been given a case study for which we put our heart and soul. Till lunch we have been working on it. Post lunch we have asked to code a scenario. Then another person comes and gives another scenario. When we tell about one scenario we have coded, he says that was not needed and you do this. Which means to say all the effort put from 10:00 AM till approximately 2:45PM was a sheer waste of time. By then candidate has lost interest.
Then we still manage to write the code for the other scenario given - which is evaluated. Then we are asked to leave without any explanation. We wonder when our evaluation happened - for the code written from 2:45 PM to 3:00 PM!!!
We are also told panel came all the way from Atlanta. But 2 of them put sick leave. One of them being a Friday evening, wanted to leave early.
I am sorry to say but I do not think that there was any respect given to the candidate's time, effort, talent. At the end of the day we felt we all lost a lay of leave which could be utilized for a personal emergency, family vacation or any other purpose. It would still have been better when we are rejected due to lack of talent. Still the leave spent would not have felt so wasted. Please put yourself in our shoes and hopefully you will understand our perspective.
