J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 5 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Honeywell (Atlanta, GA)

      Entretien

The interview process started as normal a phone call, interview with hiring manager followed by in-person. I met some wonderful employees, knowledgeable and seemed to share my same passion. The position required relocation. Having a family of 5 this was not a light decision but we agreed that if that's what the position required, we would do it. An offer came and to my disappointment it was 20K less then what we spoke about initially. Knowing my value and my track record I asked them to revisit and to try to get me back up to the amount we spoke about. About 1.5 weeks later I received notification that the CEO would like to interview me. The call was rescheduled atleast 4 times. 2.5 - 3 weeks later we had the call. Scheduled for 30 minutes. I was understanding and showed empathy around her rescheduling issues. I spent a solid 2.5 -3 weeks preparing for this call. Every question she shot off I responded professionally and knowledgeable. She would ask me how to create a program and halfway through answering she cut me off. My career has been creating multi-million dollar programs for the largest tech companies, this is something I know exactly how to do and have always been successful at. She didn't care. She was more caught on the fact that I currently reside in Cedar Rapids. For some reason she believed all tech program mgrs should be out of the Bay area which is strange considering the amount of remote workers in the industry. I waited almost 3 weeks and 4 cancelations for what ended up being not the 30 minutes scheduled but 14 minutes of interrogation. During those 2.5 -3 weeks I turned down 1 offer while waiting on this one as my heart was invested and they were in the process of negotiation prior to the meeting. Days following the interview she pulled the offer saying I didn't have enough experience. I have interviewed with allot of places and with leadership countless times in the tech industry and this was by far the worst. It was clear to me that she didn't understand channels which was fine because that was the role I was interviewing for. However she wasn't willing to listen to others to learn about channels which will be an obstacle for the organization and anyone coming in whom will work with partnerships. A few recommendations - If you hired competent people, learn to listen to them. Your team was great and put an offer on the table. Five people saw my value and gave me the thumbs up. Four cancelations for a meeting let alone an interview is not professional. No matter what role or for what meeting. I have never rescheduled more than 1 time but most of the time even one time is too many. I heard countless times that Honeywell's culture is changing. This starts from the top down. It's not about free lunch or pinball games its about adding humanity back into business. Set a good example for the team to look up to. I could tell within the first 2 minutes it didn't matter what I said she wasn't interested. Is that the impression you want new talent to have coming in?
