It was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. There weren't enough chairs in the conference room so I offered to bring in a chair from outside. The interviewer said that it wasn't a problem and proceeded to kneel next to his co-worker. Then I offered my chair a couple times, but he refused again and the interview was conducted like this the entire time with the guy on his knees. It made things so awkward. He seemed nice but in hindsight it felt like he didn't really care for my particular interview and had already decided that he wasn't going to hire me.
