J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Hinge (New York, NY)

      Entretien

Had a phone interview that was fairly standard and then was assigned a partnerships homework assignment. The homework assignment was pretty straightforward and fun to complete, since I was really excited about the role. Sent in the assignment and then was brought on-site for an interview. The recruiter let me know that the interview would be about 2 and a half hours, which could be difficult to duck out of work for, but know that's typical of job interviews in NY these days. I didn't know who I would be meeting with, so was eager to get to meet the team in person. In my first interview, we went through my homework assignment and my two interviewers asked me hard, but relevant questions. I enjoyed chatting with them and thought they had great energy. Next, to my surprise, the entire marketing team filed into the conference room for a panel-style interview, which was a little jarring. Luckily, I was pretty confident in my homework, so I didn't panic too much. However, this could have been super intimidating without some notice that an entire team would be interviewing you all at once. One thing I immediately noticed was that the entire team was white and female. Working in the marketing space, I'm used to these things, but was still a little surprised at Hinge. The panel-style interview went well and I moved onto the culture interview, which also was great. The last interview was with the COO and the CEO and left me a little uneasy. The CEO barely paid attention during my interview, seemed to be checking his phone often, and was not engaged at all. The COO was asking questions and interacting with me, but I was ultimately completely disregarded by the CEO, which felt bizarre. Although I had a completely positive experience up until that part, I left feeling really unsure of my experience because of the lack of interest from the CEO. My advice for the future is to make sure that senior executives are engaged or at least not checking their phones during the interview. It left me with a negative viewpoint of the company when everything else had be pretty positive!
