Entretien
I first had a interview with a recruiter and then in person a week later. The interviewer asked 10 behavioral questions and one analytical question and that was that. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.

I applied and two weeks later was called into interview at the Hilton Memphis Campus. I interviewed with two managers and surprisingly a person that was from another department that typically is in a more neutral role. (Per Glassdoor I am not allowed to say the person's title and I will respect that but they worked in a dept that is referred to by two letters only. I will refer to this third person as PERSON A.)
The interview was sort of awkward because I was winded from being told to go to one building and then a manager came and had me speedwalk across this campus to another building (and he was moving quickly, almost running) and he brought me into the interview without giving me time to compose myself. And that was no short walk. The Hilton Campus is huge. I went to the building I was told to go to and at some point they changed the location and did not notify me in advance.
As soon as i walked in the room the other two people, one a manager and the other 'PERSON A' was sitting at the table staring at me. I was out of breath and i wish i would have had some time to at least to catch my breath before entering the room.
The interview was comprised of basic questions about my experience and why I wanted the job. 'PERSON A' was the one doing all the questioning and I was surprised that it was not the dept mgr. I found that odd. The managers barely spoke. I've gone into many interviews in my lifetime and typically you interview with the manager and they are the one that makes the decision. I came away with the belief the mgrs at the Hilton don't make the decision. Maybe they only have input. But the domineering individual in the room was by far 'PERSON A' who typically is in more of an administrative role. But not at the Hilton Corporation.
PERSON A was not very friendly. I also didnt like how they kept looking at me which was not directly but from the side. Or using a side eye. They were facing forard but would cut their eyes at me, looking my direction without turning their head. They also never smiled and seemed a bit angry or annoyed.
During the interview I was also questioned on my phone number which was an out of state number. I was also asked if I 'lived in Memphis'. That was weird. Why would I be applying for a job in Memphis if I didn't live in Memphis or plan to? It must be a Memphis thing because I've lived and worked in different states and only in Memphis am I questioned on my out of state number and if I lived in Memphis. When I lived in other states my managers and coworkers were from all over the U.S. and many kept their same phone numbers. It was never an issue or a cause for question. But I get it. Memphis is different and Memphis employers have a reputation for prefering home grown talent. I have not found this with other cities as they simply want the best candidate.
I did not get the job and that's fine. I actually found a much higher paying position which I accepted nearby in Mississippi.
