I was shortlisted for Round 1 based on my relevant work experience, which was a positive start. However, the interview experience itself was not very encouraging. The interview was conducted virtually, but the interviewer chose not to turn on video despite instructions from HR, which felt unprofessional and lacked transparency. The interaction felt less like a fair assessment and more like an attempt to highlight gaps continuously. While questions on topics like E2E implementation, parse rule sets, and netting were asked, the approach came across as somewhat dismissive rather than constructive. Despite a detailed discussion lasting over an hour, the feedback did not seem aligned with the depth of the conversation. I would suggest improving the interview process by ensuring basic professionalism (such as video participation when expected) and focusing on evaluating candidates in a balanced and respectful manner. As acknowledged during the interview itself, Oracle is a vast domain, and no candidate is expected to know everything, this perspective should reflect in the evaluation approach as well. Overall Recommendation: More transparency and a more respectful, candidate-friendly interview approach would significantly improve the experience.
