J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Hexaware Technologies (Washington, DC) en mars 2025
Entretien
I had an initial remote interview with an HR representative, which primarily consisted of experiential questions, along with a few cultural fit questions and salary details. The interview went objectively well, confirmed when the HR representative informed me I would be advancing to the next round — an interview with the Hiring Manager and the Account Team.
The subsequent interview with the Hiring Manager also went very well and left me with a positive impression. Later that same day, I received a call from the recruiter (which I missed due to a client meeting), followed by an email stating that I had been selected for the role and in the email the recruiter asked me to confirm if I could be in the office three days a week and requested some government ID. I called back within minutes and the recruiter mentioned he will respond back by EOD to request the full documentations and provide me with the next steps as he is waiting on a written approval. He verified once again if I would be going to office 3 days and how soon I can join.
Despite the promised follow-up within a day, several days passed with no updates. When I followed up, I was told that there had been delays due to an offshore holiday, but that approval had been received and the background check would be initiated soon and i will be asked to submit all my documents.
Then out of no where , I was told that an HR representative was supposed to contact me to discuss few details and we agreed on a time, but after waiting for 15 minutes past the agreed time, no call came. When I reached out to the recruiter for clarification, I received only a brief message stating the person was stuck in a client call and we shall follow up with no further information. Such an unprofessional HR representative.
After that point, the recruiter stopped responding to my emails and calls altogether. I even reached out via LinkedIn and initially received a vague "Sure," but all subsequent attempts at communication were ignored.
Eventually, it became evident that I had been ghosted. This was extremely disappointing, particularly after receiving confirmation that I was selected for the role and after investing considerable time and effort throughout the process. Being ghosted after being told you are advancing is not only unprofessional but reflects very poorly on the company's internal processes and candidate experience management.
Given this experience, I have serious reservations about Hexaware’s professionalism and transparency. Ghosting candidates after advancing them in the process damages the company's reputation and reflects a lack of respect for candidates' time and effort.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Hexaware to prospective candidates who value professionalism, respect, and straightforward communication during the hiring process.
