      Entretien

After I sent my application (December 2023), I was contacted by the recruiter who set up an initial screening with herself, the hiring manager and team lead (January 2024). In this interview we discussed the role’s responsibilities, my own experience and skills and any questions from both sides (including salary expectations). For my second interview (February 2024) I had been given a short design brief which I was expected to spend more or less 2 hours preparing, and presented it to the hiring manager, team lead and another ux/ui designer at the company so I could get comprehensive feedback. On that interview I was also met with a project manager at the company who asked me behavioural questions. After that I had one last remote interview (February 2024) with the HR manager who mostly explained the company’s structure and where my potential role and its respective team fits into it all, she also invited me to go on site to meet the team and visit the city, and explained what the next steps would be if everything continued to go positively. After this there was a month and a half break from any contact with the company (despite two attempts from my end to get an update), I am unsure why this happened but it seemed to have been unintentional. In April we finally were able to materialise my trip to Zurich and I was made an offer which I accepted. I am due to start mid-May. Despite that slight hiccup in Feb-April, I feel generally satisfied with the process and felt valued and respected throughout. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and welcoming, and the company is very accommodating (sponsored my visit on site).
