Their recruiter called outright (without setting up time first, which is the professional thing to do as I was slammed in work meetings all day) and conducted an initial screening on the spot, fawned all over me, said I was a strong match and that I would get a formal email regarding next steps with his client as soon as he hung up. Said he wanted to talk again later that day. Extremely eager.......then completely ghosted me. Incredibly unprofessional. Zero respect for this. Don't lead candidates on when you have no intention of proceeding. At least send an email stating candidacy is no longer being considered instead of indicating otherwise, then completely ghosting.
