      Entretien

      Initial interview was with Talent Acquisition Manager Tech where my background in different tech stack was discussed along with my previous work experience. Also a good overview of the company and interview process was explained. Next part was, either a live coding session or a take home test. I selected the take home test in which I had to build a CLI application to read a extremely large JSON file and to output JSON file in the provided structure. After submitting the code on github and creating a PR, I received some follow up comments from the engineer who reviewed the code in order to understand the solution better, for which I replied. Later I received a email from Talent Acquisition Manager saying I was not selected to the next round due to skills demonstrated was not sufficient for the role, Overall it was a good experience, Communications with the Talent Acquisition Manager Tech was good and the engineer who reviewed my code provided good feedback on the some of the areas I could have done better

      Entretien

      I had a first HR screening interview, and unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience. From the very beginning, the HR representative mentioned he wouldn’t be turning on the camera, which immediately affected our communication. Following his suggestion, I also turned mine off. This was my first experience with an HR interview where both parties had their cameras off, and it made it incredibly difficult to focus on the conversation. As a result, the interview did not go well. The HR representative asked a series of repetitive and irrelevant behavioral questions, almost like a robot reading from a script, which didn't feel tailored to the conversation at all. The notes during the interview were taken by an AI bot, further distancing any human connection in the process. To add to that, he also said that the company expects employees to work from the office three days a week, which didn’t align with my expectations, so I wasn’t too disappointed when the interview outcome was negative. This has been my only HR interview rejection.

      Recruiter screen Take home coding test - I didn't even attempt because it sounded ridiculous Who even does take home assignments anymore? Such a waste of time to expect candidate spend hours on their free time while having a full time job to get response back "you didn't follow best practices"
