A series of virtual interviews with a few different teammates both on the team and in other departments that I'd be working with. There was frequent communication between interviews and the team did a good job at answering the majority of my questions about the role in the earlier conversations, but couldn't answer any questions about benefits and never got back to me with answers. I received a verbal offer with a "TBD" start date. Weeks went by between follow ups and no one could tell me when my official start date would be. It started as May, then it was mid-summer, then it was end of summer, then it was radio silence. After all of the time spent learning about the company and meeting various team members, it is incredibly disrespectful to completely ghost a candidate after months of conversations and a verbal offer. There’s some great people that work here, but it doesn’t seem like they have a clear vision of what direction they’re going in. There has been quite a few M&As so it makes sense that hiring is paused, but to lead on a candidate for 5 months without clear communication is unacceptable.
