      Entretien

they emailed me the day i had applied for the job asking me to come to NYC for an interview the following day. I showed up to a not-so nice office space where there were 5 people ahead of me waiting to interview. The interview took about 5 minutes and i learned nothing about the company. A waste of time.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us, we are disappointed to hear your thoughts on our office space, as we put a lot of thought into making it an open planned and creative space, but everyone has their own taste. Thanks for your review, the second round interview goes into a lot more detail about our positions available, had you come along to that you would have been shown who our clients are and which campaign we are currently working on, and what that entails. We also would have explained the progressional structure a lot more thoroughly, and we are confident you would have left less confused than you have. Regards.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Haywire (New York, NY) en sept. 2017

      Entretien

Within the day that I applied, I received an invitation to an interview which took place in their shared office space. The meeting with the CEO was extremely rushed but I still managed to squeeze my answers in; it really felt like an interview factory though as at least 15-20 other people were in and out of the various offices just within my visit. When invited to the second full-day interview, I went along and completed the ridiculous written and oral tasks while crossing streets, riding the train, etc. I think it was a great multi-tasking experience however totally out of the ordinary and quite bizarre to be interviewed for 7-8 hours straight. I took the written assessment when we returned to the office and was offered an interview with the CEO again but was advised that I had to be completely committed in order to even interview as "time is precious." I left being that I will not agree to a position without having proper time nor council. I agree that time is precious and that they want to hire quickly, however this sort of high-pressure, pushy sales tactics on prospective employers is an efficient way for this turn and burn company to acquire fresh talent willing to beat the concrete on 100% commission until they tire. I appreciate good sales, but this is coercive and scam-like.

Why are you good for this position? How would you rank the importance of: money, growth, fun?

Thank you for leaving us your review, we are happy you were successful in the second round interview where you got to engage in our problem-solving task, many companies use this sort of technique to test the candidates' abilities to use their problem-solving techniques and ability to think on their feet. We do share an office space and that is a conscious choice as more and more companies are collaborating in this way and co-sharing is the future for start-ups. We are growing at extraordinary speeds and there is a strong demand to build a bigger team which is why we are looking for candidates who can meet us with a final decision quite soon. You are more than welcome to contact the company for travel reimbursement for the day. Regards
