After applying online, I was reached out to by an internal recruiter. This person was very kind and responsive, and organized two interviews.
The first was about one hour with a manager, where it was essentially a Paid Search/Google Ads quiz. But given the role, this was fair and expected. There was some time for questions at the end, but it was basically a list of questions. Definitely study your Google Ads.
I made it to the next round, and spoke with a Director for about 30 minutes. This person was very kind and mostly asked behavioral questions. Things ended on a positive note, and I was told I'd hear back soon. Overall, I was expecting to hear back within a couple weeks, as that was the expectation going in as there were many candidates they were speaking to.
After about one month, I followed up to see if there was any word on the process. No answer. Another week passed, no answer. I called the recruiter, no answer. After about two months, I've heard nothing at all from anybody.
After what was a long yet seemingly very positive interview experience, for it to end with no answer one way or the other was discouraging and rude. It's fine not to get the job, I'm sure there were many qualified people. But there should be some sort of answer.
