I was notified of the open Intern position by my school job board posting. I submitted application online and was contacted to set up a time to interview in person. Interview started as a one on one and then turned into a group interview talking to two supervisors. After that I was asked to take a timed Solidworks test to create a model of a physical part I was given as well as being provided calipers to take measurements of the parts.
