I went into the restaurant and sat at a table. The owner asked a few questions and then offered me the position. She offered me $8.50 an hour for pay but then took it back and paid me $8.00 an hour instead. Nothing was in writing so I couldn't plead my case. I didn't sign any papers or give copies of proof of identity. All payments were under the table and all in cash.
