Call with a recruiter then a call with the hiring manager. Hiring manager had only been with the company for a month. From the phone call it didn't seem like he was very good at interviewing. He asked me to rate myself from 1 to 10 on specific technologies and then wouldn't expand on any of those technologies. He didn't really make much of an effort to try and understand my skillset. Near then of the call, he mentions that I'm not experienced enough to be a "Senior" level engineer. Mind you, I've held two "Senior" level positions before applying to this job. So, I'm not sure if he was trying to low ball me or doesn't know what he's talking about. Appears to be the latter, since they didn't want to pursue the process going forward.
Pretty obvious to say he really didn't research me as a candidate.
