Applied online through Lending Club, I was reached out to by an internal recruiter about two weeks later. I had a phone screen with the recruiter and then was invited to LendingClub SF to interview with the team. Upon entering LendingClub I was blown away by the office space on the second floor and was convinced I would take the job. After going up twenty-something floors I had changed my mind. The floor the position was on seemed dark, cramped, and had a completely different feel from my first impression. The team was nice, but was repetitive in their interview questions and after throughly going through my questions, got the manager to say, "work is work. No one really enjoys it.".......... Not the job for me then.
