Secondly, as you know, in Sales, being able to respond in difficult situations is a crucial skill to master so I hope you can (in retrospect) appreciate the value in our CDO spending time assessing this talent during your interview. A colleague and mentor of mine for the last 10 years Vineeta Mooganur joined the Hanover Research Sales Team as Chief Growth Officer. Due to budget cuts at the startup I was working at I found myself back on the job market. I immediately reached out to Vineeta to see if there were any openings that might fit my experience. Within 24 hours Katie from HR reached out to me and we had an initial phone screening. From the onset Katie made me feel comfortable and provided meaningful and thoughtful answers to my questions. This led to in-person interviews in the Arlington Office where I met James Barry and Megan Coffey. Megan took me through the behavioral interview asking great questions about the relevant experience I had gained whilst working for my previous employers. She shared a few stories of successes and honest stories about what was hard about the role. I felt immediately at home and I knew that Hanover would be a great place to learn, grow my career, and be successful. Shortly after I met James Barry who has been with the company for six years. I often look for tenure as a sign of a company being a great place to work. James met me with a smile and kindness paired with a strong desire to not only test if I was a good fit for the role, but to understand what I would need from Hanover to be successful and grow long-term. The level of honesty,
sincerity, and true leadership I experienced in the interview process really confirmed that my mentor was right to choose Hanover, and it would be a great place to call home.
