I was called for an interview previously. I was quite surprised with the vibe in person. The panel felt cold and judgemental. The main interviewer also proceeded to give me solely negative feedback during the interview while a young person who was a participant on a project was also present. There community and staff initiatives responding to DEI felt very plastic and tick boxed. I removed myself from the recurrent process shortly after before a decision was made and I was never contacted again to provide feedback on my experience or in general to acknowledge my decision. For a role so community focused I assumed the recruitment processed would be handled with much more care than it was. I felt judged and as if they had already made up their mind before the interview was complete. It felt like a role where loads would be thrown at you without support.
