They interviewed me over the phone, which I felt went very well. They told me at the end of the phone interview, that I was one of the top candidates, due to my experience in the field, and community. I was also told the next step would be an in person interview with the executive director and some board members. I never heard back from them, despite placing several calls. Because they were a community partner of the non-profit where I worked at the time, I heard who that they hired internally - from the person they hired. To me, it felt extremely unprofessional to not give me the courtesy of a "we've decided to go a different direction" phone call - particularly considering they tabled at an event held by my then current employer that same month.
