I interviewed four times -- once each with the recruiter, hiring manager, the hiring manager's manager, and the team. The interviews seemed to go well, and the interviewers seemed to like me. My experience was positive in the beginning. Unfortunately, I was ghosted after the fourth interview. I think it's incredibly disrespectful and inconsiderate of a hiring team to do that after a candidate invests time in applying as well as preparing for and participating in multiple interviews over several weeks. Perhaps I should have known this might happen. Both the recruiter and hiring manager told me at the beginning of the process that they had already been through one cycle of applicants and had even found someone they liked. I suppose I was among the second cycle, then they presumably moved on to a third.
